Daily Lunch Drive to support people who are affected by COVID-19

In memory of my beloved Father, Lal Ji Tiwari

My name is Shashi Tiwari, and I am creating this page to raise funds to support people who are affected by COVID in India. My father, Lalji Tiwari died of Covid on May 1st in India. He had prior condition of diabetes and high BP. He got infected with Covid and was hospitalized for 12 days but could not survive and died as of heart attack. Unfortunately, no one from family was there with him at his last moments due to COVID restrictions. I was not able to see my father or talk to him at his last moments which will always pain me inside for rest of my life. To avoid this pain and suffering so no other family or person must go through this I have started an effort to help people who are affected by this COVID.  I have partner up with an NGO Chanda Welfare and started a small effort of LMT SEVA. LMT stands for Lalji Mangala Tiwari (My parents name) where we are helping people who are in needs due to covid.

We have taken a responsibility to start daily food camp near hospitals to provide free lunch. This free lunch is also provided for small wages workers who are not able to afford. In addition, we are also providing support to people who needs any medication or help them admitted to hospital or need vaccination for COVID. This is small effort to give back to the community who has given me so much. The mission is to continue to give back to the community the way my father did when he was alive. However, its hard to afford all this or do all this by myself. I am requesting your help to donate whatever you can. Any help will help millions of people who are in need. I can also assure you that your donations will go to the right people, people who are truly in needs. Government of India doing a lot and there are tons of people like me who are also doing their small bit. However due to population there are still more needs to be done. I have been here for almost a month, and I see the situations which is the reason I decided to do something about it. There is a saying that sometimes you don’t realize how much people are in need until something happens to you or people that are close to you. We all hear about COVID, and I am sure also understand the risk but might not realized how dangerous this is until we lose someone close to us. I knew how dangerous COVID was/is but never felt the impact until I lost my father. My small initiative is making sure no other family have to go through what my family has been dealing with. Any help you can do will be greatly appreciative. I also appreciate people taking their time to read this and its ok if you are not able to donate, please pray for people in India to give them strength to fight this COVID.
